"make my pack" users cannot opt for any additional packs other than picking the channels individually. Am i wrong here?

I think u r wrong..cz I have state pack with optional packs such as english movies,news..
I had music pack as well bt 2 days bck I removed music pack n activated just mtv..

The surround sound in star gold is superb. Was watching 'Pyaar ka side effects' yesterday and some sequences the 5.1 surround on the home theater was awesome. I did not know my Philips home theater was so capable. Star movies is a little bit of a disappointment from sound perspective because the schedule is shared with SD star movies and most movies don't seem to have true 5.1 surround.

ALL i could notice post the upgrade was that - now i can fast forward any recorded stuff at 2x/4x and so on. (Earlier lowest possible was 4x for me)

Yes there is a version log. Also shows more info like the temperature within the Tata Sky HD+ STB

By the way, are you all discussing about firmware upgrade to TS HD+? If so, when did this happen for you guys? Please do let me know!

I am loving it, amazing AV quality. Now its becoming unpleasant to see the SD channels. I am sure the advertosers will also switch to HD cameras real soon. As of now good news is that no ads, you can watch programmes/movies continuously. Just to much pleasant to eyes.. the audio sometimes breaks in between but except that everything looks great. The new upgrade of box is also pleasing to eyes.Cheers to Tata Sky...
