Dish TV has a combination of southern regional channels. But it helps only a set of people. Somebody interested in Tamil and Telugu must pay all the 4 regional channels. I think in TN there is a high percentage of people who speak telugu.

You are absolutely right Ravi. In this regard Tata Sky has got better option as you could go for 350 pack and avail all the channels which is fair enough.
Here we need to choose between Sun Channels or Hindi channels

Its been very difficult to get TS CC line today, I was constantly trying for about 45 mins, It was difficult to get lines in the south so I called CC of north and subscribed for South jumbo. Picture and sound quality is very clear.

hmm i guess now Tata Sky has signed up with BSNL and telephone departments... no wonder we are being made to wait for a long time before we get to speak to them... why cant they launch a facility which enables us users to change our plan after logging into our accounts from the website?? or an sms option would be even better....guys please try the Northern india number.. its very easy to get.. i got thru in less than 5 minutes...

channels will appear in the list but you won't be able to see them until you call cc and choose one of the packages. Best option for southies (esp ppl from TN) is to go for south + western package which will cost the same 300 rs. Instead of hindi channels you will get 15 Sun channels.

I agree; but BBC entertainment which is basically an English channel is left out of the western package and added to hindi package. I will send a mail to Tata Sky to shift this channel to the western pack.

It should just be a mistake when the PDF file was created by TS. Kalaignar TV is listed just in "Family pack" which is basically a pack for non southern customers. I am sure it will be part of "South Starter"
