Sun tv is no match for Tata Sky so why should they need those channels? They are also not going to pay money to anyone just like Zee tv. Will anyone be willing to give their channels to them?

What are the issues? 1. Sun expects Tata Sky to take the entire bunch for a high sum (about 150?)2. tatasky wants only some.3. Trai has clarified that tatasky can select the channels it wants at half the rates offered to cables.4. Sun not agreeing to the price, wants tatasky to pay sun quoted price and adjust it later if acceptable prices are fixed by trai. Tatasky does not agree to this.5. Tatasky was not offering choices to customers (earlier) and so has no right to expect a different treatment from sun. Tatasky has now corrected this.6. Sun is soon to launch its own dth, so it is likely to lose lot of customers and business if tatasky gets a lead in south; it will want a reciprocal arrangement, a level field and may want tatasky to wait till its launch.7. Sun's claim that it is very popular in south and the high price is justified. (it is possible that sun tv/ktm may have more viewers than star plus.Sun has enough ammunition to stretch the hearing.

sun tv is very popular in south (thats why tatasky wants those channels)

and sun dth is not yet launched so u cant really compare it with tatasky
