@bahadurbilla ... Pretty neat. thanks for the information & specially the videos
Bottom line:
LCD is better for most purposes especially bright rooms or daytime viewing, day to day viewing of normal
TV channels especially DTH/IPTV which would normally have logos which stay in the same place forever and also for Console gaming or computer connectivity because they don't have burn in problems or other issues that Plasmas generally exhibit
Plasma's are best for watching movies especially in dark/light controlled rooms or motion pictures and capable of producing vibrant colors but bright rooms with lot of
windows or lamps could mean poor viewing experience. Also since most plasmas have burn in & other issues if the TV is left with a image in the same spot for long hours then it could leave a permanent mark in long term - so normal sports/news channels or logos from DTH/IPTV of service providers can cause definite issue. On the other hand better movie watching experience or in other words setting up large screen home theaters rooms would certainly mean a Plasma.
PS: LED from what i know are just hybrid versions of LCD with better features and a much higher price tag as of now
@admin:
Thanks for starting this topic, i was also looking out for more information on whether Plasmas are really better than LCD. I was actually tempted to go for Plasma TV considering the price for a similar size LCD of 42-50 inch but now that i did some research on this matter it seems LCD/LED is a better option for my needs in fact because i normally watch TV(
Tata Sky +) in daytime and would use it with my PS3 and computer at times.
Getting back to the initial discussion to me since you are planning to use the TV for Airtel DTH/IPTV + also planning to setup
Xbox in future LCD/LED sound like a better.
