Terrible stream quality on Hotstar live stream

Hotstar live stream is pathetic on BSNL FTTH. Works fine on Jio 4G hotspot. Is there any solution?

What is MTU size and DNS server configured?

MTU size is 1400, DNS server is 218.248.112.225

set MTU to1460 and dns server to 8.8.8.8

1492 will give you more issues as BSNL FTTH pppoe tunnel allows 1460 as maximum packet size.

Ok. If 1460 is maximum allowed then 1460-8=1452 may work. That logic worked with mtnl for me in the past.

Try doing a speedtest to Hotstar.
Let me try to fetch that domain but it's something like secure-media.hotstar. something

TIL, Thanks for sharing that.

But it is a terrible tool. Burst speeds are not indicative of user's experience. They should do a sustained speed test for atleast 30 seconds or maybe even more. netflix gets this right.
