true 3D capture, the type u saw in the later half of Avatar 3D
I want to know a little more on this - coz i am under the impression that a TRUE 3D, means that the images/videos, will be actually projecting out from a screen......
Projection as in - If from the front of the screen u can see the front of an object, then u just have to move to a side, to watch its other sides.....

I've heard that if you have a TV with a refresh rate of 120Hz or greater, you can view 3D (correct me if i'm wrong). You can make 3D glasses on your own, here is one of the link which they say we can make it in 10 seconds

Yeah, that holds good, if the 3 D is simple Anaglyph.....that Green+Red combination images, that we can see from similar coloured filters.
But i have read a few things where it was mentioned about some other kind of 3D, where u have to buy costly gogs.....costing atleast a few 1000s. And they even went on to say that THAT kind of 3D has to be viewed from gogs only....it is infeasible to build TVs of that technology, where u can view it without glasses.
As regards that refresh rate thing - i think i had read it, but have completely forgotten all that was read!!

I read a little basic info, and then the other things started to bounce over my head!!I am not in a position to understand technical details these days, especially at this time of the day!!But i ahve bookmarked it - looks quite a comprehensive article!!

I think their HD (DVR) has the HDMI interface version 1.4x which is the one version can carry 3D content over HDMI now. Other's HD (DVR) STB may not be having this now. Thats how it becomes 3D HD (DVR) STB. Other than that content should be available to every operator if its available to D2H. Even other operators can move to a new STB with HDMI V1.4x and claim the same.Instead of creating unnecessary buzz, you (operators) give the stereo audio on all channels which is a basic quality and necessity.
