fun fact. businessmen in haryana stopped getting vanity plates for their cars because they sort of became target for kidnapping. i mean this is not really a fact. this is what i heard from cousins in panipat. 20 years ago, in my dad's village, every house would have at least one car with 0001 number. at the time, connections worked. but then they made them paid and later on they started auctioning. some of them retained the number bringing it to their newer cars. most sold the number because it basically made them a target of local goons.

I wouldn't blame "these people". The ones who appointed and trained them are the people accountable here.

three of the four tires on my i10 are stock. so they are nearly 8 years old now. one was replaced 2 years ago when it blew up on the road. i am pretty afraid to drive even at speed limit on the highway. they look fine. because of low mileage, they look in pretty decent shape with deep treads and stuff. i am tempted to get all three replaced but again, i already spend too much money on my car on insurance and service every year only to drive barely 1000KM in year. messy situation lol.
