k guyz,i just got WUBI thing.now which distro do i install?ubuntu,kubuntu,xubuntu,endubuntu or ubuntu studios.these a r environments.help guyz.

i use gnome. a lot of guys here are on kde.these are not really distros. they are frontends. the user interfaces... you do not need to uninstall anything. u can have them all together. and u can pick the one you like at login time.but each of them are a couple of hundred megs. so make sure you download the extra ones at night time.

when i start DLing it on wubi,i just says retrying in 5seconds and does not connect.help.
wait for a while and see...are you sure you have no firewall restricting it?if still no use. download the iso file i mentioned before. i installed wubi downloading the iso file seperately as i find my download manager to be more powerful.after downloading you just have to put it in the same folder as the wubi installer and it would pick up that iso file automaticlaly.

i downloaded the linux with ubuntu nut when i start my comp.,i am given a choice between xp and ubuntu.when i choose ubuntu,it gives somr NO RAID DISK error.help.do i have to install ubuntu from the install folder of wubi.

I'm also a KDE fan but was impressed by Ubuntu with GNOME... Kubuntu is not that "polished" with it's KDE (its not bad either), so I would recommend you install the upcoming openSuse 10.3 next month if you want KDE.openSuse used to come in 3-5 CDs to download but they will now release a single-CD install (for both GNOME and KDE) to keep it simple like Ubuntu.In short, if you like GNOME go for Ubuntu, if you like KDE go for openSuse.About Fedora I'm not sure coz I haven't tried it recently, I will try the next version coming in Nov...Of course, all three distros (will) have download version options (single-CD installs) for both GNOME and KDE...
