Thinking of Getting Alliance Broadband – What Should I Do First?

So it’s been more than a year now, and my SSWL connection has been pretty solid overall, apart from a few hiccups here and there.
The one thing I still don’t like is that SSWL has different plans from Alliance. I also still don’t fully understand how their upstream works — does SSWL actually buy bandwidth from Alliance, or is it something else?
A few weeks ago, I called SSWL customer care and asked about updating their plans. They said they would be updated eventually, but couldn’t give me any ETA. The person just told me to wait for the Puja offers. He also became quite rude when I pointed out that my current Quarterly 250 Mbps plan with SSWL costs ₹2,478 including GST, while Alliance has a Quarterly 400 Mbps plan for ₹2,490 including GST. Obviously, Alliance is offering much better value at that price.
My LCO is relatively responsive and helpful, so I asked him about it last month as well. He said he had forwarded my request to SSWL and that it would take some time for them to add the plan to their servers. That was a month ago, and there’s still no update.
I don’t really want to keep bothering my LCO or SSWL customer care if they can’t give me any sort of ETA, so I’m not sure what else I can do here. Should I just wait for the Puja offers?
Also, I noticed a few things about my connection that I’m curious about. The router shows the WAN connection as IPoE, whereas my previous Hathway connection used PPPoE. My SSWL public IP also seems to stay the same for days or even weeks, even after restarting the router. I also don’t have to enter any username/password to get online — once the ONT/router powers up, internet access works automatically.
Are these things normal for an IPoE connection? And is there any advantage or disadvantage to having IPoE instead of PPPoE, especially regarding the seemingly persistent public IP?

Bump. Anyone here on SSWL who can shed some light on the plan updates or the IPoE/public IP situation?

They won't bring new plans just because you or anyone requests something. SSWL is a sister brand of Alliance but they have different plans and setup is also different according to you. Regarding Public IP, I don't think you will have any issues as such.
