i do not think we still know the reason behind the ban on typepad and blogger. medianama reported that DoT had not implemented that ban. of course it was probably related to some random blog which the government thought was a national security risk.

right , also now we have these ISP`s in the backfoot , high time that we issue a RTI on this block
 
Am able to access all the sites (Airtel, Karnataka). It was blocked yesterday night !

It appears that DoT doesn't believe in transparency. Very typical behaviour rather dadagiri.

Unless they get an RTI they don't feel the need to inform the public.

Will they ever give an official statement?
 
It's really sad this whole blocking fiasco. Unannounced and unresponsive.Why don't we focus on better standards for the internet than just focus on restricting more and more of it.
 
So I was the 1st one to post =PBTW mediafire, link-removed n link-removed are working fine ATMmegaupload and others were never down.

dont try something stupid , you can be accused of hacking.

some noob on this company added the filesharing sites to the block list , so traffic routing through these so called filtering service , got blocked or someone hacked into this and had fun wth FUPtel and reliance
