To Broadband users in Kerala

Hi guys...I just moved to Trivandrum, Kerala. ( near pattom ) I was wondering about the best broadband provider here in Kerala. There is already a TATA 256 unlimited connection in this house. Tata is kinda ok. Speeds vary a lot. There is no real downtime but if there are any problems, it takes 2-4 days to get it fixed!!! :wall: I work online and I need to be online all the time except when sleeping ( It sucks ) I'm just hoping to find a stable connection with unlimited plans ( I never stop downloading :O ) I think Asianet, BSNL & TATA are the only broadband providers here in Kerala.If there are any asianet or Bsnl users here from Trivandrum - Could you please share your experiences... The only game I play is Counterstrike 1.6. With Tata, I get decent pings ( 70 - 80ms ) at some servers and really bad ping ( 300ms +) at others. I'm told it's not about the speed but the routing that matters. Could Asianet or BSNL users ping the following CS servers??Run > cmd > ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ( u dont really need the port )Look for the "ms" value- 202.144.83.55 ( Port : 27018 ) - 202.88.131.139 ( Port : 27015 )- 202.63.160.44 ( Port : 27025 ) - 220.226.204.147 ( Port : 27015 )- 202.63.160.186 ( Port : 27023 ) Any help would be appreciated!

I am also in Thiruvananthapuram and using Asianet Dataline. In my opinion it is a stable connection. The download speeds are super:yahoo:. But upload speeds are pathetic :wall:, because they offer only 64 KBPS upload speed for all plans. I am using Wow 199 Plan. It is not a unlimited plan. There are lot of unlimited plans available. the said problems will be rectified only after getting reliance broadband connection... its 100 percent stable... no variations in speed bcoz it is dedicated line given from the digital loop carrier..... unfortunately most of the people will not get the connection becoz the connection in an area is limited... only 72 lucky person are eligible to enjoy reliance broadband.......... have a nice day to all ------ for any query call me at 9387336365, 9388080880....... I think Asianet offers you the maximum speed in Kerala.I know friends getting speeds at an average of 380Kbps with Asianet.Maximum of 510Kbps.
BSNL Dataone's maximum speed (which I'm using) is 230Kbps.(500Rs.COMBO PLAN)
