That's why i recommended it for first timers, its a good distro for them to start with. You don't want to recommend first timers a Linux distro with a huge learning curve right off the bat, that will just cause them to run back to windows.
If your goal is to learn everything about Linux and become technically advanced, go with Arch Linux, there's Manjaro as well which is based on Arch so you might like to check Manjaro Linux.
