TP-Link Archer A6v3 OpenWRT Issues

Thanks @HC1337 so 23.05 is a good version to upgrade to from stock TP-Link firmware.
Thanks @f0r3he4d Nice to hear that on the latest version also things are stable.

Does Openwrt give any extra additional features for just the router part. As i am using this only for DHCP with wifi off.
I use Ubiquiti AC LR setup in my home for wireless mesh. Have a couple of them.

@Dushie youre basically not limited by your oem firmware. like in my case i run wired backhaul wifi roaming service around my house with one main router running openwrt has two isps coming in through which i run policy based routing. i also have several vlans for different buildings and iot devices. the skys the limit but you also have to keep in mind your device storage limitation you might not be able to install heavy packages on 16mb flash that comes with yoir c6 v3 but you can do a lot more than your oem firmware for sure.

Thanks, that helps alot will read and look up more on it. As primarly i will be just using it for routing and DHCP assignment.

Not updating , the firmware has a note at bottom stating you can't downgrade from this version.

How can i backup my existing firmware before moving to Openwrt, i see it is availabile on Tp link site.

I see below comment on Open wrt site

Comments:The A6 v3 is identical to the C6 v3. Check out the device page for the C6 v3.
