TP-Link XX530v AX3000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 GPON Router

hello bro, i saw your profile says you use netplus broadband. if so i would like to know if there is any latency increase during downloads. basically a bufferbloat test

I used to, and it sucked, in my city, at least. Extremely high download and upload loaded latency and therefore, bufferbloat was terrible as well.

@Mota Bhai @tr1k0N4 Hi , I need a help from both of you.

I recently bought the TP-Link xx530v for my jiofiber connection to replace the jio fiber router with it by using it as a GPON router. I applied all the settings which i could by seeing from youtube and all and my internet is working fine as i did the steps mentioned there of MAC cloning.

I am facing an issue and have not been able to solve it even after getting the router replaced by the company.

during the use of wifi on the 5 ghz band (i have separated the bands into 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz), the internet suddenly stops working at random times for about 2 to 5 minutes. this happens to all devices connected to the 5 ghz band only.

this issue does not occur on the 2.4 ghz band or on ethernet-connected devices. It only happens on devices connected to the 5 ghz network. when I run the troubleshooter, it shows “no internet,” and when i check further, it says “no DHCP server found.”

after waiting for about 2 to 5 minutes, it starts working again on its own. during this time, the wifi sometimes disconnects and fails to reconnect, getting stuck on “connecting.”

this issue occurs around 4 to 5 times a day approx.

what could be the reason for this? i have also upgraded the firmware of my tp-link xx530v router, but the issue is still not resolved.

@Aman I also face this issue sometimes, but max 2 times a day, usually around 9 PM or 11:30 PM. I think this is some bug on TP-Link end, btw I have 0.8.0 version firmware. Try disabling ipv6, this might solve this issue for you. I tried finding out the root cause issue here but could not find any till date. And the weird part is that this issue happens only on 5Ghz band, hence I have set all my devices to connect on both 2.4 and 5Ghz band, so if this issue occurs than the device will automatically switch to 2.4Ghz band.

There is one more issue I have seen that when ipv6 is enabled than sometimes when I start my router in the morning than my device gets ipv6 address assigned to it but not ipv4, so some services like reddit and discord mobile app does not work for me. I have to restart the router again and than ipv4 plus ipv6 gets assigned to each device. Btw I face this issue because I have a habit of turing off my router every night, others might not face this issue if they don't restart their router everyday.

@tr1k0N4 I am using latest firmware already for TP-Link xx530v - firmware date - 27/11/2025 (XX530v(IN)_v1.8_0.7.0_3.0.0 Build 250606)

, are you talking about any other beta firmware for the solution of this 5ghz internet getting disconnected because of no DHCP server found ?

your link is not opening

@Mota Bhai i am using XX530v(IN)_v1.8_0.7.0_3.0.0 Build 250606 firmware, how to get 0.8.0 firmware ?

yes 11 30 pm i noticed too,, can u share some screenshot of your settings please as i am facing the issue at other time intervals too. I have ipv 6 turned off already.

what do u mean by this - hence I have set all my devices to connect on both 2.4 and 5Ghz band, so if this issue occurs than the device will automatically switch to 2.4Ghz band. does it mean keeping band steering on so that 2.5/5ghz combines?

Btw I face this issue because I have a habit of turing off my router every night. yeah I dont face this issue as i keep my router on 24 hours using router ups.

thank u for ur help . Lastly can u share some screenshot of your settings for xpon settings and all major settings which should be kept what and which settings should be on and off specially in Advance > network > XPON settings and XPON WAN AND also ADVANCE> WIRELESS settings page and Lastly Advance> lan settings page ?

@Aman I got the 0.8.0 firmware from TP-Link brazil website(Download para XX530v | TP-Link Brasil).

For setting up JioFiber I had followed all the steps mentioned in Geeky Twins youtube video for setting up JioFiber with xx530v, you can search that video on YouTube to see all the settings.

I have connected all my devices with both 2.4ghz and 5ghz band wifi network. So, when 5ghz band is down that the devices will switch automatically to 2.4ghz band wifi network. I don't use band steering, I have separate wifi network for 2.4 and 5ghz.
