@Chip Be absolutely sure to get the SLA agreement done so that speeds can be guaranteed especially since its Airtel

@Kaiju404 yes they have a standard SLA which is different from the consumer connection SLA.

One point to remember this is not a leased line with a fixed guaranteed bandwidth. You are paying nowhere that much with biz BB connections. That said this is a QoS agreement though not as strict in terms of tighter parameters as for e.g. in case of a leased line and not as loosely defined ie deviations and contention ratios as a home BB connection.

The biz is still some time away from setup need to complete formalities for the SME post which I will contact Airtel or possibly even TPF depending on who gives a better deal overall.

Hey guys, can anyone help with bridge mode connection on tata play fiber? I have a Nokia G-2425G-A router. I have enabled bridge mode on LAN 1, and connected it to the WAN port of my TP-Link Ax10. I have entered the Received PPPoE details from the customer care. However, internet is not working on the networks of either device. Customer care is not responding

@yashg seems like a VLAN tagging issue, so the solution is Contact TPF cc to put ur ont into bridge mode , this has to be done by the backend team otherwise you won't get internet link in either of ur device. If they delay then raise a service request from the app. I can say this for sure You will not get net link until the backend team does their work.

Sometimes rebooting ur tata ont does the work too.

@Kaiju404 I did contact them for the same and the service engineer said he enabled it. It didn't work for a while, but then the TP-Link router connected to the internet. However, it kept dropping the internet connection intermittently, which is now gone again after some tweaking

which is now gone again after some tweaking
what did you do here? care to explain , like it was working for sometime then? thing is tpf is rock solid dumb now, you will have to keep raising requests till your issue gets solved

I tried toggling vlan on either side, and disabling TR-069 from the WAN profile, along with disabling the WAN profile entirely. None of these worked and it looks like the PPPoE connection is being interrupted by the Nokia ONT at fixed intervals. I guess I’ll have to raise another service request. Also, even when I restored my backup configuration to the ONT and disconnected the TP-Link router, the internet light came on and yet it didn’t work

I guess it is a VLAN tagging issue like you said. I imported the original router config again and that's the only thing that got it working intermittently again. Hopefully they do resolve it with another request. At the end of this month, I'm moving out and will move to another operator which is not as expensive. I moved from Jio to tata because browsing felt sluggish on the former, but Tata now has the same issue in my area
