12. First disclaimer should be audio/video and to be changed as - 'The film focusses on the rising menace of drugs and war against drugs and is an attempt to show ill-effects of drugs on today's youth and the social fabric. We acknowledge the battle against drugs being fought by the government and the police. But this battle cannot be won unless the people of India unite against the menace.
13. Second disclaimer of fiction to be increased according to audio/video.

These 13 cuts are the Censor Board's way of clipping 'Udta Punjab' wings

Good thing about this case is that petitioner side has high profile producers and actors.

They have own influences and they will not rest because their money is stuck.

Otherwise had this ban be on some low budget film - producers / directors may just have given up.

freedom of speech is usually taken very seriously by the courts. if the movie was banned for vulgarity, it would have been other case. but funny enough, we have had some really vulgar movies released under the same board in the recent times. take any movie featuring sunny leone for instance. the hate story series? all of them got approved. but a movie on drug problem in punjab is blasphemy.
