Unlike other brand adapters like TP-Link this supports ethernet tethering , was able to use the 5G internet on my S23 to get internet on my laptop through LAN cable.
Got it for 1500 from Amazon.
A good investment I guess.
Also while using Airtel 5G on wifi hotspot I used to get data exhaustion message as it used my 4G data during sharing , but its not the case in this ethernet tethering.

Won't it heat up the Phone and impact battery life?
Good for temporary backup if not long term.

@SVK used it for about 2 hrs and it heated but can be neglected but there was a battery loss of 16 %

Good find. I wonder if there is a way to simultaneously charge the phone while using as a hotspot. A setup like this then can be used as a failover network on the router.

If you insert the usbc end into a linux system what driver is shown in dmesg?

This could solve both charging and connectivity.

@anmolbhard004 I bought Amazon basics Type C to Ethernet adapter for 699 and it also works fine for Jio 5G but in case of Airtel it doesn't work they're blocking USB/Ethernet tethering here but not WiFi hotspot

Seems Ugreen is not stable on kernel 5.x which is what S23 uses, 212731 – USB Ethernet adapter ASIX AX88179 disconnects under heavy load.

Maybe you could try to use the device for a day and check if it disconnects or not.
