Unable to Connect NetGear router to BSNL modem

I recently sent across a Netgear router and skype phone to india . The BSNL always has a uname and pass to connect to once we get on the computer. Can this be configured either on the modem by default or on the router so that the skype phone can detect the internet connection automatically. I reviewed all the options available byt was not able to set this up.. Help required . Thanks in advance. :O

In Netgear Router, you need to configure PPPOE. In that case computer (and skype phone) will not have to know username/password.

will you pls specify your problem and give some idea about ..how you are connecting your devices to each other..what are your modem configuration..so that we do have an idea about it..
