@srinetultimateSurprised you have asked for this information !as you are a regular contributer in this forum.You have not mentioned the modem/router model !!Anyway if you had not changed it default for Beetelmodems as given above. Also the modem default IPcan be different .Start/ Network/LAN status support details etc. The info is given for general reference in the thread. Apologies , as you may know most of them already.

thanks,i had manually set the ip and dns but i am unable to understand how was i able to connect to the net.?i had set the ip and dns for pc to pc data transfer over a crossover cable.
