For netbooks and laptops 3G is indeed a good option but, these companies are ruining it for everyone. What stinks is Hidden Punches. From what I heard 3G was going to improve connectivity in remote areas, revolutionize medical facilities and such things.Certainly that was just theoretical dogma which our country awfully expertise into.

Thats just double talk from all these looters..... Just those nice talk for image building in the name of remote/rural areas. I can tell that u won't find a 3G tower of any Pvt. telco in any of the villages even on 1 Jan 2012 and I m counting those village having population above 10,000.

arey im using it.
Initially it was on edge. so i was ok i had no problem and now whn 3g started, im using it blindly and now wht- im stuck yaar..
It says 599 Unlimited.. but they keep a shitty capping like Rs900 credit limit. and since u have to opt this in billing gprs data plan, your discounts and everything will be counted at the end of the billing cycle. so till then it would be counted as unbillied amount. so they charge u as per 10kb/10p. so once u reach Rs.900 (around 8mb :| worse than airtel FUP) your services will be barred sayin you have reached your credit limit. I have been calling their 111/116/55666 all the customer care and none of them have a solution for this. One of them told me that call 55666 and ask them to install INC services. That will remove the credit limit. Now when i call 55666, these stupid wil say call back 111 since its billing issue. I told them tht its 111 who asked me to this number and install INC.. Wow and i thought no1 can beat reliance when it comes to customer care..
Bravo VODAFONE.
Im still waiting for a solution!

The issues mentioned here are associated with billing (postpaid). What about prepaid plans for Vodafone 3G? I believe right now, you are getting unlimited plans for prepaid as well...
Just wondering whether these tariffs for prepaid will exist after...what 10th April?

After 10 th April ?- roughly in the same pricing structure as others as given below.:readtherules:

when ever something new arrive it comes with premium tag .. which cost alot .. so need to be very careful with such 3G plans ... they will cheat you like this or will offer a good plan but only for limited period like BSNL did

Their liability is still not established i think.Although the view taken by High Court is pretty logical, still there are counter arguments i heard UNOFFICIALLY that if VF is made to cough up the liability, then it might go to international courts, where the possibilities of the liability getting reversed are higher. In effect, no tax will come into GOI's hands, but it will tarnish India's image & in future MNCs will think twice before putting thru similar arrangements.

Today I got a call from Voda DSA offering me Unlimited Download , without any FUP and no cap on speed( I checked twice with them and once with Vodafone CC) for 500+Taxes. They are provideing ZTE K3570z modem for 1500. There is nothing mentioned such Plans on the website for Delhi/NCR Circle, but for Chennai Circle there is something similar.

Has anybody got the similar plan yet??

DSA name- MassCallNet- Ph-011-61105567

DSA was insisting that ZTE K3570z is capable of 21mbps, however internet search says max speed is 3.6mbps.

I think he is right because when I talked to executive at vodafone last time, he told me that buy 3g stick now and go for unlimited tariff which will cost you 500+tax and you will get 3g speed when it will be launched. So, now 3g is launched but some other guys have also a chance to buy right now because 3g has launched for mobile only. Some are also waiting for data card.

Right now using Voda pre paid sim in 3G mode in Voda data stick 3570Z with 1 month un limited Rs 599 Gprs pack (now free 3G trial in Gprs prices).
Voda 3G speeds are around 5 Mbps in Android phone. But the above modem max capacity is 3.6 mbps only. So will get around 3.2 mbps.
If any agent says "you will get un limited 3G in Rs 599 gprs pack"- it is not true.
After 3 G pricing comes out on or before April 14, all Gprs pack will get only "E" signal (max 15-25 KBPS)

Good heavens... now how much actual cost will be for 3G unlimited in that case ?
