every exchange knows to test the line quality even if they don't understand the exact technical details.just tell them that you suspect line quality after telling them about SNR values being low.

they won't be of much help because line testing is usually done by lineman with an engineer usually at your place or in your area.don't worry i am in UP(west) & even here people knows how to check the line.in your area it should be far easier as according to posts here BSNL people in south are usually more aware about these things.

Most probably BSNL has not changed your connection at their end to the higher speed link when you changed tariff plans.
You seem to be an old BSNL BB Dataone user with Ip 59.xx.xx.xx You don't need 14 digit portal ID to check your usage.

i dont need the 14 digit code,but my ip starts with 192.xxx.xx.xx n not 59.so wat shd i tell them in order for them to change at their end???

this 192.x.x.x is not your actual IP.this is the local IP assigned to your LAN by the modem.to know your actual IP go here--

Your SNR must improve. . Data path/ops mode appears different. Check it. Will confirm Dataone later. recommended G DMT.
