I am guessing this is final now and there would be no stay or anything like that.

End of the road for Delhi's old cars as India battles smog | Reuters

The National Green Tribunal has banned all vehicles older than 15 years from the streets of the capital, New Delhi, in a bid to clean up air that one prominent study this year found to be the world's dirtiest.

The ruling hits up to a third of the 8.4 million motorbikes, trucks, cars and auto-rickshaws that ply the traffic-choked roads of Delhi and its surrounding areas, transport officials estimate.

The government won't do anything in the name of reducing pollution, but will leave no stone unturned to make money out of it.

Petrol? 100% tax
CNG kit? 7-10k tax
Vehicle is old? Green tax
Insurance renewal? Tax
Want to sell your own damn car? We'll also take tax from the money you get from it. Although, we already taxed you when you bought it, but we will, again.

Pollution emission certificate is just a money making scam . No incentives to make environment clean

Gotta wonder how a 15+ year old vehicle who pays this green tax would still be road worthy when it should not pass the puc test because of old engine tech.

People will just stop re registering their vehicles. Corruption will increase. This could create more problems for sellers of old vehicles even if when it was sold it was within the validity period. 🤔🤔
