Guys..just for crucity i read all post in this thread. Very interesting discussion. I am the person who moved from Dish TV to D2H SD in March. Previous I used Dish TV 7 long years ............

............. Dish to D2h, picture quality of D2H was pathetic. Later this improved when I chnaged some setting in TV and also Videocon has improved the picture quality at back end a lot after HD launch.

Which TV size do you use with D2H? LCD / CTV ? My TV size is 29 inch flat tv. Which settings did you change of TV? D2H is good for which type of TV LCD / CTV? Are you happy with D2H picture quality?

I asking this because I am confused to understand this. Dont worry that's not your mistake.

Thanks.

I think he must be using a widescreen for sure - LCD/LED/Plasma. Thats why he is able to tell the difference. Just a guess from me!

Guys..just for crucity i read all post in this thread. Very interesting discussion. I am the person who moved from Dish TV to D2H SD in March. Previous I used Dish TV 7 long years (since when they have only Zee channels adn I bought their STB in Rs 7500/-

I am kind of DTH guy and have tried almost all DTH. Frankly saying from overall D2H is satisfactory for me. The most pathetic one was Sun and Airtel. Picture quality in Airtel SD is not appropriate for LCD or LED TV and pixalation is highest. I have not used D2H HD so can't comment on this. Airtel is popular because of know brand image and very high spending on their advertisement, very high commission to dealers.

Usually when we start using LCD panel, we start blaming DTH operators. But in most of the cases, we are too knew (gen - X and not Y) to do complete setting in LCD. Please understand the difference of working in CTV and LCD TV. Pixlation issue is every where but in CTV this is not visible but in LCD this appear because high contrast ratio.

Better instead of buying multiple set top boxes, identify the issue. When I moved from Dish to D2h, picture quality of D2H was pathetic. Later this improved when I chnaged some setting in TV and also Videocon has improved the picture quality at back end a lot after HD launch.

If possible can u post the Strength & Quality percentage u get? so that we can get an conclusion here...

Fine today again i spoke to their CC they promised tomorrow the technician will come (anyway false promisme tomorrow is Ganesh Chaturthi), so deadline is tomorrow, if they are not coming before tomorrow evening i will send them the mail.

The Technician visited just 30 min. back... He changed the old Cable to New from my Terrace to Home 4 floors. Here is below the signal i got from his satillite Meter "Maxpeak"S - 85 dBwvQ - 100M - 15.2 dBA 1.3 E-3Now it has been increased by changing cable by 5%... he challenged me that Even if i change to HD / DVR i will get the same signal/quality only.... there wont be any difference.... my conclusion is may be in Metro's or different areas they may get 100% because of 90cm Dish... if Tirupathi may be the coverage is not upto the mark... Now i have to decide either be happy with what i am getting or just forget this buggers....
