15 Secs Delay is very high...Normally the delay might be at the max 2-5 Secs....My TS compared to cable tv delay is between 2-3 Secs...

till today I found that difference is very high otherwise not more than 15 seconds. I think it may happening because of Satellite & dth dish difference (physical) otherwise dont know. Can TRP make effect on delay of transmission?

2-3 second is hardly noticable, but yes 15 second makes difference.

The problem is there with all the DTH due to its technology.

I read on a web page that D2H users can watch previous channel in a window while they play game on D2H. But my D2H has old software where they were just showing their home channel No. 100 while play game.

I want to ask existing / who have last software upgrade that is it true that you can watch previous channel while play game on D2H after latest software upgrade? I dont think it will like that but waiting for your answer. :sad (2):

This feature was available even in November 2010 when i bought the SD box. If ur software is that old, then also u shud have this feature. There must be something wrong with ur box.U r getting pictures that are not clear, then this problem u r reporting. Ur box has some fault - either it is defective, or that u have missed too many updates coz u r not using it much.

Thanks!You means you watch last channel in small window while you playing game? When I play game its shows home channel of D2H & never I watch any previous channel except home channel till today. I contacted cc but they told me you cant watch previous channel but you can watch just home channel.If you can watch last channel while play game then I will contact back to cc. Can you watch previous channel while playing games in right side small window?I just need that answer because I not get that type of feature.Thanks.

If thats the case, then I will just check and confirm again, in a while. I havent used Games ever, except in the beginning when i had bought the SD box first time.

I am planning to buy a videocon D2H HD DVR, just wanted to know what is the offer in their advertisement which says upgrading for SD to HD will give me cash back of Rs 1000/-. SO is it better to take an SD box now and upgrade it to an HD DVR/ HD box later? Has anyone availed the Rs. 1000 cash back offer? Have seen a lot of reviews about Videocon D2H on this website which convinced me I should take Videocon only. Have joined the website to post the same. Hoping for a quick reply . cheers

U have brought a totally new idea here! Need to check up the cash flows involved. Will check & revert in a short while!

About getting Rs. 1000, yes. they are giving the amount as a recharge in ur account. I cudnt avail, as i had upgraded in Feb end, when the offer wasnt there. But i have heard a few people getting the refund.

Lastly - D2h is a decent service, especially if u r looking for True HD channels. And the customer service is quite quick too. Its 1 of the best when it comes to Customer service.
