There should be a price factor to be considered about. The advantage D2H had above TS was their better pricing, packages and CS. I could afford upto 2999/- not more ;-)

I will see the Monthly costs & the Customer Care of D2h as the weighing factors in favour of D2h.So, some sort of price that they charged can be justified - say around 4.5-5k. And if u see the conditions at my home, there is a sort of "Prejudice" that since we have the Standard connection of D2h, we should by HD from them only. So, nothing can be done by me in that area.The only reason we havent brought it at current prices is - this is not officially launched!!

I will think of buying the HD DVR only if the prices are below 4k. If its above 4k, I will start looking elsewhere. I'm sure if Tata Sky can offer the HD DVR for 3.9k, Videocon D2H also can. Moreover as 'ItsMe' has pointed, most of the people like me have opted for Videocon D2H only because the prices are reasonable. So if Videocon launches the HD DVR for 6k, most of us would not even think of buying it.

I dont want DVR facility i.e. need only D2H HD.why they havnt launched HD only ?(Lol why I am asking, they havent launched even HD DVR Officially)

@ nsm...Thats what i m telling - v even need to compare monthly cost of both - especially the cost of HD channels. And then the Customer care.........i havent seen TS serving as much as D2h does!!@ above....c'mon, it is the obvious technological advancement that is xpected.....if they dont give DVR, it means they are lacking somewhere!!

My dear I am not saying that they shouldnt launch HD DVR, I am only asking why they havent launched HD only ?
there are lot of customers who want to watch HD but dont want want to record.

i WAS a D2H customer, i have bought Tata Sky HD + , its just the price that got me itchy

@ Amit....I dont know if the other DTH providers are also selling ONLY HD boxes, along side HD DVR boxes.....I mean to say that - if a Co. is selling HD DVR, then i dont think it will sell HD only boxes.Just look at Reliance - they are having only HD DVRTS - very recent case....they had HD box & a DVR box separate.....they had to combine the 2 & launched their own HD DVR.Whereas the others - Dish & Airtel - they are not selling HD DVR, so they are selling only HD......I hope u are getting what i am trying to convey here!!

bought videocon HD DVR today..so thought abt sharin it here price 6490/- and u'll get HDMI cable and USB chord along with it ....installation is not complete as it was raining today evening ..so it'll happen only tomorrow will update abt that later
