I copied the content of a dvd video to a folder. i just kept the vob files which seems to have everything i wanted... now i want it back on a dvd video. apparently i needed those data files too. what can i do get make a dvd video from just vob files?

try adding the vob files in the VIDEO_TS folder in nero and burn it on ur hdd using image drive option.else re-compile a dvd with "nero-recode"

You can burn with Nero converter, but it take hours to burn. Why dont to convert it into DIVX and wirte it in DVD. Do u have divx player?

as rageaddict suggested u'll have to recompile the dvd with recode and re-create the ifo files.

if your cautious about quality like me then my advise would be to NEVER CONVERT A MOVIE FILE. conversion always results in some kind of a quality loss and sometimes it may be hard to notice but it does. if all fails then try "winavi video converter". it's the fastest known converter and might crash on old systems.

winavi video converter is quite good! :)also, try handbrake (basically a ripper)

i had no need for converting as the files were originals from the original DVD!i just use an IFO file creator and burnt it using nero... the result dvd did work on the dvd player we have at my place.

yeah, I was about to say, just burning a DVD with two folders - AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS and throwing those files in the latter should do the trick.Reconvertign IMHO is a royal waste of time. I have done DivX to DVD converting for a couple of rare movies before, but it was so painful I decided not to watch rare movies anymore :P
