Vodafone India: Set up internet / GPRS on iphone - it worked

Hi,

Anyone here tried to unlock the iPhone3G purchased from Vodafone (India), i wish to use the mtnl 3G on my iPhone.....

How do you know it's locked? My 3G from Vodafone came unlocked, despite being told by cc it would be locked, bla bla.
 
I have a iPhone 3gs factory unlocked on iOS 4if i take the new Rs99 recharge that gives me 60mb per day of Vodafone Liveand then use these settings will it work ? :imwink:
 
from what i have heard, vodafone grps is highly locked with restricted access to the internet.
 
right. one of the things i heard was that pop and imap are disabled. so well vodafone truly sucks.
 
hi, i went the steps u told. But i hv problem. When i install the apn in my iPhone after filling info u told, it shows 'profile is missing identifier' on the screen. Whats the problem? pls help me. I am a postpaid Vodafone customer in Maharashtra. U say 'save' the settings but there is no option of saving.
 
The best is airtel GPRS..... its quite unrestricted the mobile office pack for 199 per month 2.5GB usage
 
yes..... if you have the mobile office you can use your phone as a tether i mean you can use your phone as a modem
 
Hey there !!I m on 3GS 4.0.1. This trick worked like a charm to me. Many many thanx to the person who provided it for public. Though it is not working on the things like automatically fetching e-mails or badges from e-buddy/facebook/ebay/twitter etc (like iPhone use to do on a wifi) but it still works fine on safari and even load the emails at a decent speed. My App Store is not working with this trick but it doesnt matter much. Please lemme know if there is anything else to do for improving the speed of browsing using Vodafone Live !!Anyways thanx again for this wonderful trick. You Rock !!RegardsParth
