Vodafone India: Set up internet / GPRS on iphone - it worked

I hav tried everything. I hav a prepaid connection. ACT VMC to144 says invalid keyword. VMC to 52586 gets no response. M from delhi region so may there is some other keyword to activate vmc. The worst part is that cc is total crap n they r not able to help. M using iPhone 3gs on 4.1. M wondering how r others able to get www working on iphone. Has anyone tried it pn iphone with os 4.1?

I have tried ACT www and it does not work in Delhi because i got a message 'Send valid keyword'. I also sent VMC to 56789 and i got a message saying 'VMC is already activated on your number' but still www is not working on my iPhone.
 
For VMC there was a link posted here where you send an SMS to a different number like 5xxxx or something, that worked for me to enable VMC on my Nokia :) Search the Vodafone threads here...
 
Guys, will this work with 3G too? I just cant seem to connect to 3G network. Any help / advise?

Try the following steps.


[*]You first need to get an application that is- iPhone Configuration utility
[*]Then connect your iPhone and then launch the application and click on Configuration profile
[*]Now you have to click on advance option and then you have to click on Configure button
[*]Now you have to enter "portalnmms" in field of Access Point Name
[*]Enter "10.10.1.100" in the last field proxy server
[*]Then you have to enter "9401" in the last field Proxy Port
[*]You have to save the profile then by any name you want to
[*]Now on your device on the left hand side and choose Configuration Profiles.
[*]configuration profiles.
[*]After it is been done you may then get an Install option and soon you will see a pop on your iPhone asking your permission to install the configuration simply allow and you are done

damm i have same question... have any1 tested 3g packs on iPhone (not trail) without paying 100rs/month rent

a lot of people are asking how to setup / configure internet or GPRS on iPhone. even at one time i spend hours and hours to setup gprs on my iphone and worst part is that i dont have "cellular data network" option in my iphone but even though i am able to successfully configure vodafone live gprs on my iphone.

here are the steps:

step 1: you need to download a software "iPhone Configuration Utility"

step 2: connect your iphone & launch the program then click on configuration profiles.

Step 3: click on Advance option on your left hand side then click on configure button.
