all of their ads except for the ones featuring Irfan Khan have been for educated minds :)

But all the kids ads (of hutch) were understood and liked by all...Mayfly ad is just a bouncer for most..................

i am sure my mom would not understand the doggy and his moving out of a small hut and going back in.

i don't think you guys are right in thinking that the mayfly add will not be understood by the uneducated folks... in my opinion its not that hard to get and most people will catch what they are trying to say... being a little undereducated does not mean we/they are dumb.although for people who are really poor would not buy a connection just because the ad was good.. but the cost factor would matter more for them... they will just take the connection which is cheaper for them... no add will matter much... but they will get it alright..@sushubh ur mom wil get the doghouse add.. but she wouldn't care enough... (my mum's the same :))

am pretty sure she would have no idea that essar, hutch, orange and vodafone are the same.umm i guess she would at least know that hutch is now vodafone. but i doubt that she would know that hutch is a mobile company.or maybe i am underestimating her... she watches star plus. so she would have seen that ad maybe around a 1000 times. :D

After seeing that ad of pug entering and leaving the hug 1000 times, my mom asked: "Kiski ad hai ye"? I told her "Mobile phone company ki", she is like, "Baar Baar wohi ad kyon dikha rahe hai".I explained her: "Company name has changed from Hutch to Vodafone", she is surprised, her first question : "Ab kya mobile phone aur sasta hoga???".I said to her no, only the name has changed, first it was operated by Hutch now it has been bought by Vodafone............So the mentality of common man is simple, let whosoever operate with whatever name, will it benefit me in terms of cheap/quality service?

exactly.. (and its idiots like us who try to dissect the implications of a partially operative new website the company has at the time of launch:ashamed:)

Idiots like us do make a part of Vodafone for whom the web address is displayed in every ad. Atleast 30% or more users atleast in cities use the website, so it was expected to be up if displayed so widely in ads.............

If such a launch was from mtnl/bsnl we would have not even discussed about it in the first place but it was Vodafone, u know what i mean! :)

Has anyone heard of the locked phones from Vodafone? Can someone post details about them here?
