yes hutch website was good. current vodafone does not even have those menu thing working. plus when u go to offers page. none of links are clickable. its total mess website and looks again to be developed by super unprofessionals.

Vodafone.in gave error
"Server is too busy"

:hysterical:Seems everybody is clicking the site seeing the ad on Star TV

^^^That isn't the scenario i guess, their website is not yet ready and definitely not fully functional...............

A company like Vodafone are expected to provide at least a working website. Problems like these are not acceptable especially on the day when you have launched your brand. Perhaps they under estimated the appeal of their own brand in India.

People who actually want to check some details/info can still access the better site:

Hutch

TV Commercials of Hutch (way better than the pathetic current vodafone ad):
Hutch

The website FYI does not carry customer accounts, so question of carrying huge database is simply not correct. Website just displays the product, services, contact points, new offers, promotions etc.

Have you heard of My Hutch? If not, you seem to have concentrated on the Pug more.

Vodafone does allow you to access your "My Vodafone" page upon keying in your Vodafone number and your pass. This is same as My Hutch page.

My Hutch was accessing your Hutch Account from the database of millions of Hutch India customers.

We are not judging on the website point of view but point is \"Wrong planning\" and not readying themselves for the launch, they should have had things in place before making a big fuss with exclusive ads on Star.

Hutchison's 3 in the UK too had massive ad campaigns but failed immensely in its initial years, since they thought 3G would change lives of people due to high speed mobile content and broadband internet access.

By the way not everyone has website access or Internet access. Hutch is one of the biggest telecom operators in India after Airtel. So they had to get the message out quickly and fast.

Also brands initially face rejection, since we have high expectations as customers. I think we ought to behave in a mature manner, by giving them time to clear things out.

The website of Hutch was not well managed? on what basis u say that? Hutch had a anytime better website than current vodafone india website.

I say this on the basis of downtimes I have experienced whilst trying to pay my bills online. This has been a minor problem, not a major one though.

The Hutch page used to irritatingly open new windows (IE) or new tabs (Firefox) while choosing location for my account login.

So you see that there too, the Hutch branding was excellent, but the website access belonged to prehistoric page.

You wanna see, what Vodafone can deliver? Its one of the biggest ever operators in the world.
