It's because of trial, which is up to 10 April.

Its a actual GPRS Plan in AP. which is like RS 98 2GB

why my speed not up then 1.8 . i have postpaid and k3765

Depends on the place where you live try it in some area where network is very good.

You won't get 3G speeds on that pack when the trial gets over, right?

Arey bhai this Rs 98 is a 2G plan and these are not Trial packs these are normal packs which are there in market for quite a while and the Stick which is supplied from Vodafone is 3G supported HSPDA Which can support speeds up to 7.2mbps, if u want higher speeds more than 2mbps or so u need to activate 3G and use a relevant 3G plan with the same data card.

i dont know about 599 plan, i am seeing it newly from a month on their site. it may be a promotional offer or a regular one.

huh! I am just saying that people are getting 3G speeds on 2G packs just because Vodafone is giving free trial so that people can experience their service quality and stuff and the Rs 599 plan offers you unlimited usage while on 3G, this plan is for those who have taken usb sticks from Vodafone, the 3G plan for normal prepaid and postpaid subscribers are damn expensive.

May be bcos of the trial. Few users of airtel have reported on this forum that they have achieved speeds up to 1mbps even on 2G plan on Dongle. basing on that i was saying

the details you shown are for mobile sims.
they have 3g schemes which are different.
plus those rates are of 2G and trial period they are asking customers to use 2G rates and try 3G on mobile... not related to mobile broadband.

it is regular one... all mobile broadbands will soon give 21mbps and 28 mbps speeds for around Rs. 600 in next 1 year time.

I got around 3mbps on vodafone using 2G sims converted to 3G and 2g rates

guys lets not confuse.
there are 2 main things
use internet using mobile
use internet using mobile broadband

use internet using mobile:
till now it was 2G ... things changed and 3G started. downloads were restricted. rates were high.

use internet using mobile broadband:
it is advance version of adsl where you can get 28mbps and above speeds. the rates are low and speeds are high.

Now some users get confused by using those mobile sims into 3G sticks. Hence they find it expensive.
The back end in both cases are same. Even tikona uses the same 3G technology since long time. Now telecom operators got license, they are also rolling out such schemes and giving tikona a tough competition.
The 3G war will intensify now in coming 1 year.

how many network bars you get in VMC? anything over 3 and above will give you best speeds.

try experimenting which corner of your house gets max network bars...
