Telnet is kinda basic on this anyways. I turned it on by modifying the config file. Don't have the ONT anymore so I can't help you much. But you need to get the config file from backup and restore section, modify the Telnet enabled flag and restore it.

I experimented by making the voice profile static (although i knew at the end of lease time it would become irrelevant).

At the end of 24 hrs, the default gateway box under the internet profile was unchecked again. And this times, since the router didn't have any box to check in the voice profile, my internet just went down. Status of both voice and internet showed up in the status page, but actually net was down.

Theo moment i reverted settings to as they were before, internet was back.

Does this rule out/clarify anything? Am i missing anything?

Hahahaha! I'm fucked that way as well! Cuz then the LCO's autoconfig would kick in 😂

Today i'm going to strictly ask the lco to disable any form of autoconfig for me. Enough's enough.

Hey @JB701 you were correct! Today, i had a look at the routing table, and found that the gateway for 0.0.0.0 mysteriously changes from * to the voice gateway. Also, its interface had changed from internet to voice.

My guess is that when the IP lease time for the internet profile ends, the interface probably goes down for some seconds while a new IP is assigned. And hence, it changes to the next available gateway as a fallback.

Is there a way to permanently set this right from the CLI? Because the web management offers no such option. In other words, the router should not be deciding the route of last resort on its own dynamically! It must be fixed!

Yes! With the result that the rest of the settings just disappear. Also, no static routes can be configured for a bridge profile.

The default profiles configured by the OLT on reboot are Internet and Voice. In this config, voip apps do not function. Note that the Voice only profile does not have a checkmark for either default gateway, or for enabling NAT. Also, in this state, disabling the checkmark of default gateway on the Internet profile makes no difference to my speed. It eventually routes through the internet gateway only.

To make my apps function, I change Voice to Voice_Internet, which has both the above checkmarks. I check enable NAT, add the static routes, and voila everything works.

Today, i happened to notice that the gateways for Voice and Voice_Internet profiles are different. I let the profile be Voice and changed the static routes to point to the gateway for Voice, but it didn't work

So eventually, it just boils down to NAT.

Could you help me in configuring NAT, so that this problem is solved once and forever? I mean, i need to somehow enable NAT, or probably add some configs/port forwarding to NAT manually for the Voice only profile, and that should be it.

@JB701 i seem to have solved the problem!

I never happened to see the service type 'other' to configure for a profile. This has NAT, yet doesn't have the option of default gateway. So, all i did was to configure it like the Voice_Internet profile, and deleted the original Voice_Internet profile. I think i shouldn't have a problem now.

Thank you for allllllll your help!

Fingers crossed!
