lol. seems i messed it up. I thought the date we guys all started reading it ( well i started reading pretty late ) was the actual publication date. The trend probably started when the 1st movie came out in 2001. heh must be in 8th class then :P

If you are from delhi, go to dariyaganj on sunday. I was there 2 weeks ago, surely saw all harry potter and Hobit. If you ask around chances are high u find LOTR. (for damn cheap)
 
picked up the 75th annversary edition, fk finallly arranged it for me :)
 
oopsy sorry! I ordred it in hurry didn't want it to go out of stock again..
 
Got the delivery. Tiny books. Text size is like 7 or 8 of ms word dam small, not readable in low light.
Maps are tiny too with barely readable text.
cover is excellent and paper quality is good not as good as harry potter books though, pretty thin compared to it and 30% smaller in size.
