Weird connection problem

My dataone connection is used in dial-up mode. I have this weird problem where after some time the connection gets dissconected but the icon in the notification area still shows a connection. also i cannot dissconect the connection and have to restart the system. Can anybody help??:wall:Also when the dissconection takes place the taskbar briefly changes to classic stlye and back. any ideas??

1.Seems your computer is "freezing"
Download and run this program Advanced Windows Care Personal from http iobit . com
In Startup Menu list uncheck unneeded programs.
2.Please mention the modem model /make.
3.Taskbar changes to Classic style and back. Unusual.
Can you do registry changes ?
How do you notice it ? How many other programs you have in the startup ?
Disable all of them and keep only AV and Firewall program and try.
Para two : 4. If you access the modem settings check ADSl status and report SNR ATTN and line speed. and Mod selected. Check in WAN page whether IDLE time is entered.

Am connected by lan. am using ut300r2u. and am using bridge mode. snr ~ 3line att ~ 34. its kinda high but i dont think thats da problem. the taskbar thing is really weird. ran antivirus , spyware, rootkit test etc. no results.
