Obviously it has to be TORRENTS FTP's Suck big time when ur half way thru server goes down.such things dont happen to torrents unless they r very old

am using torrents right now...but i love P2P...there's no headache of maintaining the ratio...just save it and it'll get automatically shared...that's one disadvantage of torrents...otherwise, it rocks!!! :D

ya i did a lot of music through ftp .... but usually ya do use torrents to download stuff.... usually share ratio is always above .7 for me.. so i dont usually keep it going for long anyways... but sometimes i do . esp music torrents... ..

music torrents are not a problem...small files, won't take much to reach the ratio anyhow...the problem is with the movie files...it take days, sometimes weeks to reach the ratio 1:1

i do music and games.. i always have a 0.7 uploaded .. so i just keep it on for another couple of hours. that`s it.. :D... only a few times have i realy uploaded like a proper seeder with ratio reaching as high as 1:7 :P .. but then that has only happend a few times.. and again ya with music downloads.. the unhealthy ones ..

I use wget and curl. Both have "resume" and "retry" features in case your download is terminated for whatever reason. You can set up cron to start/stop download, give an input file in which you stuff the files to be downloaded. :D
