What do you use for downloading

if its not on those site than buddy forget it.It might not be there at all in torrent.Though try to google itsuppose u want slayer discography than try "slayer.torrent" in googleIt sud give u resultsbut if u din't got on those site it might be not there.

1) Thanks chicmagnet for ur advice but i have already done all of wt u have said down to the last detail. The only thing i haven't tried is wait for say 30 min or so...just gave it 10-15min and shut it down. So next time i'll give it more time...abt the peer connections even i've noticed that it takes a lot of time connecting but maybe that due to a reason.2) Regards the ed2k network ur abs right abt it being the only one where u get rare stuff unlike torrents or even limewire. Even i was using emule at first but gave me slow speeds like u mentioned so junked it and now i use the official eDonkey2k pro client. Use it if u don't share many files and want to limit ur uploads. It'll give u faster downloads than emule coz emule has an intelligent way of releasing bandwith to clients. The more u share and the more u upload the faster u'll download. The same is true for edonkey but to a lesser extent. Although emule will give u more search results than edonkey at first but they both connect to the same peers eventually.3)Azureus is ok for music torrents since u can allot max speeds and uploads for each task individually which is not possible in BitComet. This is an issue since if ur d/l a fast and a slow torrent simultaneously on BC the faster one hogs all the bandwidth and chokes the slower one.But for bigger and latest torrents (where there is a lot of traffic) Azureus just doesn't work. But i still use it for the reason i mentioned. Also trying out Bit Tornado.4) Regards the Java problem seems to me that system restore has screwed up ur installation and deleted select files. The only way i can think of i manually deleting all the files created during installation (which will be quite a frustrating ordeal).They could be anywhere(temp files sys folder) and then re-install. Also try disabling it in internet explorer in options/manage add-ons. Then download the manual install file for java.com.5) Can anybody give me a brief description of IRC, whether it's any good and wt all i'll need. Thx

I use torrents, but I see that none of u use Azureus for torrents.. any specific reason?? Ita a really good and easy to use application to handle torrents.I tried out BitTorrent when i started using torrents, and i found that Azureus was much better.

??chicmagnet(this is sachin214),anyways .another thing i have felt is that with Emule as your net speed increases you get lowerw slots earlier and downloding starts earlier and after i got 256kbps connection i dont have to wait longer than 5 to 10 mins while previously on 128 kbps it use to take 30 to 45 mins ,with rare files it may take 3 to 4 hrs.This means it favors those with good speeds.But as i says i download about 10 to 15 files simultanously you will definately get best speeds and that to instantaneously(10 to 15 min).

lol! i have downloaded a 5 CD folder suse 9.3 pro (around 3 GB without any difficulty) also webshots site rip(3.4 GB),the main difficulty most people say is that azureus is a resourse hog so you definately need a good machine for bigger files.
Another thing i love about azeurus is that if you are downloading something(any folder that has many files you can ask it just to download some not others ,or you can que files with in the folder (i always D/L nfo first to get information about the download

Thats not a problem i can always copy ed2k liks from emule to edonkey if it gives more speed ,thanks for advice.

Thanks but i almost did that i searched for java and deleated all those files which i felt safe ,i think i need a windows reinstall,anyways for the time being all java based clients are working great on linux suse 10.

IRc is used to chatting ..
but you can use it to download stuff..
all that comes on torrents or other p2p first comes on irc .....
its vast... very vast.. you`d have to spend days to really start getting stuff from irc /. and not wait for days on end to download stuff..
though you can use sites like. link-removed.com , packetnews.com, ircspy.com to search on irc for stuff you looking for.. and well you wont be disappointed my man . heeh
