i use IRC, Limewire and recently tried to use BT (azureus) but hate it ...... Torrents sux... for some reason my ul speed is always twice my dl speed. IRC is the best ! it rocksP.S: hey whitelotus can u pm me ur YM id plz, i tried to pm u but seems that ur inbox is full !!

Lol sachin, i was talkin to chicmagnet regarding Bit Tornado. Rest of the post was addressed to u.As regards multiple downloads in ed2k i use it sparingly for rare stuff. Get the rest from other networks. But am not complaining coz even though it takes time i get it eventually.Azureus hmmm, resource hogging is not a problem. My comp is fast enough but doesn't give me decent speeds at all on large files. BC works well for me most of the time.And there must be some fix for that java problem of urs. Re-installing should be the last resort but am guessing u've tried everything already. Yeah i know IRC is used for chatting, that's y i was confused at first. I just wanted to know how it works and wt all i need. Is it similar to torrents where u download a small file containing info abt the file and run it in a client? And what r the advantages it has if any over other networks?...

you can download everything and anything on irc..first you enter a network in irc. say gigairc.. then you enter a channel.. (usually channels are specific to what they host) like games , music etc..so enter a channel which you want to and search for the files you want..you can only download individual files usually(unless the whole album is already available as a rar file)... but you can que up whole album using autoget.. the only thing with irc is that.. what works with a certain network maynot work with another netwrok/channel... like autoget is not supported by every channel..you can try using xdcc catcher if you want..it`ll search for files you want on every darn channel that is there in irc.. but then again not evry channel supports xdcc catacher..

yohu123: you will be able to pm after reaching a certain number of posts. No one knows the exact number of posts required. I guess Sushubh knows but he doesn't tell.waterloo sunset: The main advantage of irc is that you can find stuff there which is not available anywhere else. I'm talking about highly illegal stuff and not just mp3 and warez.

heh good anti spam ... put in a module to regulate new posts from users once they are 10 posts old have them auto become full blown members...
