what is the maximum speed for bsnl 3g networks

Bsnl is going full private very soon. Thats what the Dude at the bill centre told me. Old guy has been working for bsnl for since 1986. Told me long story about him and Bsnl and how its going full private

bsnl and mtnl going private? soon? these employees would go on strike when the merger process would begin. forget going private. unless of course, it's ambani who would be buying them. because in that case, employee unions would be suppressed and regulations would be ignored.

@Ouch BSNL lazy asses, talking time to implement plans in all the circles. The attitude BSNL employees carry,it deserve to be made private.
@HE-MAN 400Kilo Bytes/s transfer rate,not stable though.

No city, just a small town near Sunder Nagar, Himachal Pradesh.
Correct me if I am wrong, but you need either an HSPA or HSPA+ network get more than 500 KBps. You won't be getting more than 500 KBps if you are getting only 3g network.

Yes theoretically 3G network should deliver upto 460KBPS and to get more you should be either on H or H+ but at my place I get upto 50-60KBPS when phone shows 3G and upto 400 when it shows H, BSNL don't have H+ at my place.
While I travel to tier-2 cities like Varanasi I get upto 2MBPS on H+

These are my stats for BSNL 3G HSPA Network.

For 1099 , not a bad deal at all I'd say

And these are my stats for BSNL broadband 8 Mbps plan, BBG Speed Combo ULD 2841 plan to be exact.

Pretty bad if you ask me, but when has BSNL Broadband speeds ever been good.
