i want to disconnect data one service as i want to move out...when i apply for disconnection...should i stop using immediately or how do i know when the service is disconnected from bsnl side...i mean to say that..will they come physically and take away my modem, splitter, extra wires...(stuff that they installed),as i have a rented modem,,paid security deposit..or do the just disconnect from their server so that i could not log in...or what should be the signal to me that it is finally disconnected...i need to know becoz... if they disable my username and donot take away the modem, for some days should i be able to use dataone using my friend;s account as i do some times...thank u...

1.You have to surrender the modem (and may be splitter )and give an application for disconnection of BB service. Get a receipt for both. 2.If you simply give an application for disconnection, it will be disconnected, and you will get a whooping bill for modem cost next month and your security deposit will be adjusted.
3Check usage , daily to confirm disconnection, in Dialup mode ( NETONE)
4.If you use even for a day BB you are liable to pay full rent say Rs 250/+Rs60 modem rent + taxes.( Don't ask me why etc . Open a thick folder for correspondence for a year with BSNL for refund, and to prepare a case for consumer court !)
