bsnl broadband
i have been usin BSNL broadband 250 plan from dec 2006 with Huawei WA1003A modem , since 2 week i am not able to connect to the broadband , i called of the BSNL officer who incharge of that , he came to my home and he tried is level best to repair it but he also not able to connect to the broadband , he thought it may be problem in modem so he changed it with UT300R2U ADSL2+ modem but then also my computer not connectin to the broadband , then he said it may me some problem in ur computer , so i deleted all my old software and re installed WINDOWS Xp in my computer , but then also no good result ..... pls help me ...
.
1. light in the modem POWER, DSL , LAN lights are ON only no problem in that .
2. my internet explorer opens 192.168.1.1
3. username : admin password : admin
4. in modem diagnostic its shows Test authentication with ISP : FAIL
Test the assinged IP address: FAIL
Ping default gateway : FAIL
rest of other options are PASS
5. while START > run ping 192.168.1.1 -t
it shows Reply from 192.168.1.1 : bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64


what may me the problem ?....
whether its my computer problem (or) BSNL ISP problem (or) UT300R2u ADSL 2+Modem problem

pls provide ur suggestion ...... Thanx in advance ....

in modem diagnostic its shows Test authentication with ISP : FAIL
there is something wrong with your bsnl username/password.
you can try this---
setup the modem in bridge mode.just edit the connection in configuration & change type of connection from pppoe to bridge.
after this create a network in windows using network wizard to connect to net.after this connect to network a window will come up asking for username & password.enter it & then see if you can connect.
 
Well i had recommended the same in my community, but he is of the opinion that the username and password were working fine previously.Contact the nearest internet exchange and ask them to reset your credentials. That should solve the problem.

In the modem enter your ID without @ datone.in
In computer .
Start/Network/Lan/Properties/TCP/IP properties
Assign Ip address automatically.
DNS use opendns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

Para two.
Since you are an old Dataone user, the DQUF usage program should work.

enter your User Id and password and try.
or try 10.240.240.195. bsnl usage site for old Data one users.
You can try this and , if you can access, the password has to be reset by BSNL.
Or try your dataone email acct. Dataone WebMail
 
@whitestar_999 i tried as u said but it show error message that username and password are invalid in this domain ...... but i never changed my username and password even once ..... but how can it be ?....can i change my username and password frm my local BSNL office ?..
 
U can request them to reset your password. It will be reverted back to the default one and u can change it.
