yes. because they are not sent manually to you. they are sent by automated programs.
replying to them would do one of these things...
1. nothing.
2. their system would realize that your email id is authentic and in use. so it would probably get more spam in the future.

Replying to spams makes your mail system assume that the email is actually not SPAM. and as Admin mentioned ur email id gets stored in the spammers database and you are likely to get more spams emails...

would like to share my real-life experiences...
My roomate in my college days one day at 0800 got a msg., he became chirpy,behaving idiotic...we thought something fishy asked him abt it. He said he has got a goldmine will not disclose to anyone. In evening he called me to a cafe to fill up a form in utmost secrecy. came up with all my mess members....had a ball.....he had won 1million USD from British petro...couldn't stop laughing in front of all .
MY father one day got a Email containing recruitment call from some british company in nigeria, he also said to my mother was very happy and when he said to me......

That is the main problem. People go secretive when they get such messages. Someone near my home lost Rs. 25,000 to Nigerian scam. He is not known to me, but it is said that he didn't even shared the news with his wife.

But i would really say the Emails language is SUPERB. Even i fell for it seeing the style of grammar and deep content. The writers are pro's...may be they can use the effort elsewhere.
