What would you do with a 100mbit/s or 1Gbit/s connection?

With 100Mbps Port will start my own work from Home with 10U Racks like File server and Game Servers.
Then you should probably go For a Dedicated line. They wont give you Residential nor Business for this.

Not on a residential or SME connection you won't.

You can work from home, sure, like, if you're a sole-trader or whatever, but having 10U of file and game servers sounds to me like you're planning to do a whole lot of hosting for commercial purposes, and that's not OK.

This all has been discussed in some other threads.

We could probably allow this on Enterprise or MNC lines which aren't 100% dedicated but it depends on what kind of SLA and/or bandwidth guarantee would be wanted.

But If Beam would have Given me Such speeds i would have blasted their ass with their Residential connection Hosting Game Servers :D.
They are big Jack arses.. I don't think they will monitor their customer's Traffic.

You mean 99% uptime + Trai Standard Qos for MNC?? you said you would provide 99.3% uptime on a residential connection is it true?

The main question would be: are you hosting game servers for commercial purposes (making a profit) or just in general? This is usually where the contractual difference will lie.

Also, game-servers don't really require *that much* bandwidth.

Where did you pull these figures from? 99.3% seems like an unusual number to me. If memory serves, I think we have 99.5, 99.9, 99.99 and 99.999 depending on what type of connection it is.

I have Read in Some thread 99.3% For Residential Etc.. I may be Wrong.
So it would be 99.5%(3.60hours of downtime per month) uptime Guarantee for Residential?

The aim is that should be the minimum uptime, but there is no guarantee (it's residential).

Profits

So on a residential connection, that would be a negatory.

yeah i meant the same, you said you would try to provide a minimum of 99.5,99.9,99.999 etc for Respective plans.

Who cares? As long as it is cheap/costing low for me

Better to aim high.

I care. If you break my ToS, I reserve the right to terminate your connection (you'd have violated your contract).

Okay! i was joking.. Who will keep quite if i violate their TOS. IF i do that with beam also they will terminate the connection or if they are like airtel they would surely penalize me.

Maybe, yeah :)
