There are many things that we like, but we dont get in the market......we have to resort to Torrents for that.Prime examples are TV Shows.......i like comedy shows, & would like to have a few of them for seeing later on in spare time. But u dont get Watchable quality of those shows outside. At max the local pirate guy would be having.......that too isnt worth watching.Next comes matches. I have never seen Memorable Cricket match videos being sold on DVDs, atleast in India......so again torrents for that. And as u mentioned there are quite a few movies, that we like, but we dont get any chance to buy it - despite hunting in as many places possible.

i dont have much speeds to download! i just download software, and sometimes small movies!

For the last 4 months I have searched for the movie "Long Days Journey Into the Night" which I can't get.So its obvious in this sentiment I'll have to be a pirate.
This movie is on link-removed and link-removed.

but dude thats is not a excuse of piracy?
If people do not have an option, what do you expect them to do?

Thank you for making it official, but yes.Its not like I don't really buy original but in the current distribution status.Bullshitting movies sell most so they are in supply. For the last 4 months I have searched for the movie "Long Days Journey Into the Night" which I can't get.So its obvious in this sentiment I'll have to be a pirate.
Try link-removed. Limited time offer, only 15 seeders left....hurry....lol

but dude thats is not a excuse of piracy?

So u tell us, where to get the things we want?? Why shud we be deprived??

option? who said that you go for piracy.Do you fundamental right to watch movie or use any software which you cant find? Just that if you cant afford BMW then you will steal that?
The larger picture is that we all go for piracy becoz its too easy. We live in digital world and everything from software to movies, songs are digitally stored. We can copy, edit, delete digital data. Just look around you and tell me one physical thing which you have pirated? if you cant afford anything then u settle for something less. isnt it?
I myself have lots of pirated stuff. Its not that I cant afford original, it actually I find easy to download and use it. Download, try, use and throw and not a single penny spend!!

you and I cant do anything. It the same situation like Apple delayed its launch of its iPhone in india.People then went for grey market. can you justify that. Imagine a situation when there is no internet, no digital version of movies. then what would you do? then you would have any other option than just have to wait for release of DVD in you country.
As I said, we go 4 piracy becoz its too easy, fast, free. Think .

Thats a different thing. Apple hadnt said "We wont sell the iPhone in India"......so, it was not impossible to buy original, once launched. Whereas in the case of some stuff, its TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND in market.

As i said - do u get the TV shows that i mentioned?? Do u get the Memorable Matches that i mentioned??

That wasnt the thing with iPhone or any other thing, coz iPhone was going to be officially launched at some future date.

Imagine a situation when there is no internet, no digital version of movies. then what would you do?

Thats what......when there was no Internet, these stuff werent available with anyone on the planet, except for the TV Channels themselves. And they never air those programs. U tell me, how many times is the Aus v SA match of 434 runs is being telecast these days??
It was repeated when it was new. BUT NOT NOW.

Thankfully, atleast a part of it was available via torrents, so i got that. But other vintage stuff is not there at all. Like the serial Hum Paanch and all - they rocked, but do u find it on CD/DVD?? Does Zee TV air it again??

Answers to both these questions are No.

then you would have any other option than just have to wait for release of DVD in you country.

Even i am not denying the fact that i do download other things that are available in the market. I am no Angel for that matter.

But u tell me - in case of a Movies, Music, Games, etc - atleast 90% of the times it so happens that after i download, i watch it/listen to it/play it as the case may be.

JUST TO FIND OUT THAT I HATE THAT THING.......Just to find out that it isnt to my tastes.......

What do i do in such situations?? Do these Profit-mongering companies come forward to buy back their shit?? Or do they give refunds??

What happens in the end - U end up paying for something u dont like, & then u dont get the thing u like due:
1) Being already stung once.
2) Cant think of spending another 1000 bucks on a new game/200-300 bucks for a movie immediately, coz the wallet has already become lighter.

Whereas in downloading, its simple - u download, u like it, u keep it. U dont like it - Shift+Delete.....just the loss of Bandwidth time.

And its not like the companies cant afford selling at low prices. They very well can afford it.

Instead of showing (HIGH PRICE)x(Low Volume) SALES reduced by Piracy losses.......they can very well reduce the prices, and show (Low Price)x(HIGH VOLUME) Sales.

If they leech us that way, we leech them in this way.

HD movies , music , hard to find videos , games (rarely) , software

Piracy is piracy, people who produce products, decides what users can do with it and that's called terms and conditions.Availability or non availability of something doesn't makes piracy less of a crime. Simple as that. If my favorite flavored ice cream is yet to arrive at my nearby shops, that doesn't mean I can steal it from somewhere else, and justify that I Ain't doing no wrong.
