you know you can share files of up to 2.5GB on telegram? as many of them as you want? and you don't need to keep a local copy? you can download them at any time? telegram actually recommends using their app for file storage.
Telegram has local cache storage that you have full control over. It has to keep some data on the phone to show the messages you are active in. What I mean to say was that you can clean this cache at any time. Reset the app. Reinstall the app. Reset your phone. And all data would still be available to you at any given time on ANY device you want.
WhatsApp has been notifying users through the app about a change to its policy and terms & services, that kick in on 8 February. This has raised some privacy concerns.

This should make it clear what all data us collected, stored, shared. I Wonder if Indian banks who are so gung ho with partnering with them are ok with this. I always was suspicious of this app for doing any financial communications or transactions.
For now.... NO
Even if Data protection bill comes it offers meagre to no protection. I don't even think there is a provision for any agency to monitor how data is used.
That mean every company that provides customer care whatsapp number or tries to connect with their customers via WhatsApp helps in spreading our data wider!!!!. I wonder if banks will do a rethink, one definitely will not. Its for the customer to wake up & decide for themselves.
