It is so because EU lawmakers actually are concerned about privacy. If you look at their GDPR, it's frigging amazing. No wonder Google, fb get sued left right and centre for any violations in those countries.
Indians be like... Kaheka privacy!! Hum toh khule mein subah subah rail patri par karte hai. Open invitation hain.
If you want your voice to be heard then only option is mass protest or mass boycott!!
 
Just Curious, how many of us in this discussion here have a Facebook account. Which includes even a disabled/dormant account. I deleted my account nearly 9 years ago & never missed it.

Telegram is good actually. But the only problem is files transfer. The servers have slowed down. People are continuously downloading movies and pirated content on Telegram . 450 MB of a zip file took me a lot of time . I know that will not be the daily use case but files download quite slow and an open source messenger cannot invest in so much bandwidth I guess. They have to add a Point of presence in India
I wonder how Signal will survive without any income as they do not sell anyone's data. No one donates for apps/services in India
