If anyone is thinking of discontinuing with whatsapp and they just uninstall the app then your data prior to un- installation is still available for use or abuse. Remember to delete your account from WhatsApp settings before uninstall.

lol if you don't delete your account, you would still be visible to your friends and family. though even if you delete, your existing chats would still exist (of course) and it might cause confusion on why they can no longer send you messages.

i have been installing and deleting my account randomly through the years when i have no other option but to get it to deal with some company support.

Yup, same is the case here too. The only reason I have it is to get my schedule for class. But no update since lockdown.

I have read somewhere that the Whatsapp Business allows for pre generated replies. So an article few days back popped up and gave this idea . We can generate a reply for someone who is replying to us

The Whatsapp Business can send messages even if you delete I guess (this is yet to be tested)

Some more blah blah from WhatsApp which seems more like damage control. Seems they are losing many users. Perhaps even if people continue with WhatsApp they should ignore their WhatsAppPay option. That would perhaps bite even more. Moot point is whether they should they be believed

I find it hilarious that some banks tweet about not sharing bank details on social media. Though it sounds logical they don't talk of doing banking thru social media. ICICI Bank loves to advertise on social media, send emails about doing banking work while chatting on WhatsApp. Why the H should I combine the two?
