It has an FUP of 4mbps upto 8GB ,512kbps beyond so after 8GB data transfer you will probably end up getting only 50-60kBps download speed even if your line is ok

yes the scheme giving 4 mbps uptu 8gb and 400 calls free. yes for more abv 8gb u have to pay more. fup necessary for good contention ratio.

but for downloader bsnl has stopped some schemes as i had unlimited download from 2 am to 8 am and 2.5 gb. but as i need more data during normal hours so leave it. but it was excelent scheme.

fup necessary for contention ratio but ridiculous fup's like 8GB at 4mbps is not acceptable. Alliance offers 3mbps night speed on their 750 per month plan and I download upload 7-9GB every night.

i think wishnet has a scheme of 768 kbps unlimited for rs 775 inclusive tax , may be value for money if u dont need peering rather a stable speed round the clock. i mention it for cable only.
but if u r near to any bsnl exchange and good dp then certainly bsnl. but sud have a good realation with bsnl officials

@AllHave taken wishnet and it's pretty good :) but it has no peering in our area :'( but in other peering is active :D hope it starts soon here..!!

both these cable broadband and bsnl r not suitable for professional purpose where uninterrupted net is required for some hours or round the clock.
cable broadband has problem of disconection in some areas for morethan hours some days or so and basl has chronic disease of frequent disconection and fluctuation of speed and more over pathetic customer care.
