yep i checked their site but i dont think its available in safdarjung anyways m gonna call them n ask n also what bout tata indicom is it good enough as i need at least a 512kbps connection for playing on xbox live
MTNL is BY FAR the best. Simple reasons- 1. No fraudulent billing - have known many people who receive randomly HUGE bills - you get extra high bills for bandwidth you never consumed! 2. No unnecessary purchase of modem - you are NOT required to purchase the modem from the service provider. The poor MTNL guys come over to your place to program your earlier modem. 3. Free phone - YES, MTNL provides you a hand-set for getting a broadband connection - so the 700odd bucks you spend on the installation are more than compensated for the brand new handset these guys give when they install the connection. 4. Free talktime - unlike many other private telecom players.. MTNL provides free talk time for a fixed number of calls every month. e.g for a Rs.599/month plan - they provide unlimited 512kbps conneciton with phone and 100mins of talktime. Personally I have used Airtel , Tata Indicom and local cable provider for the broadband connection before i switched to MTNL.Unlike the perceived notion that MTNL is slow, I have personally experienced scenario where MTNL team called me up to come over to my office since they wanted to install the connection the next day. As per the new guidelines for code of conduct released by Delhi government, sarkari procedures in a number of departments (of which MTNL is a part) are to completed in predefined time limits or the karamcharis have to be answerable for their delay. I am using MTNL unlimited connections in my 2 homes and office (where the broadband wireless connection is shared with 5 employees) since the past 2 years now. And have never faced any problem of fraudulent billing so far.
