Wi-Fi modem

I have been using the Airtel 220BX. I want to now replace it with Wi-fi modem. Will it be possible to connect to it using Ethernet cable as well besides Wi-Fi.? Moreover what will be the increase in the rent?

Yes. Most WIFI modems give 4 LAN ports to use 4 computers with RJ45 cable.

Please call Airtel CC for change of modem to Beetel450BX1, which is a WIFI model. Your security Deposit will increase.
Nowadays Airtel does not charge rent for modems. Say you need to use a laptop.

As the Deposit is Non refundable,
I think, the modem/router has to be returned,
if service discontinued.

You can buy a Netgear WGR614 wifi router
for about Rs 1500.
iF you need more range
( usually an area of radius 30 feet)
Buy Dual Antenna model or a Buffalo wi-fi router.

I think they charge for Modems. I changed from modem to Wifi and they charged me 1000 Rs in Delhi but it is only 1 time payment. I think it is better if u take airtel modem as if there is any problem you can call there technicians and it is there problem to mak it work or replace it. which is not possible with other wifi
