I did that with my Dell battery many years ago. Do not know of any third party software. I can only suggest to keep an eye on Lenovo website and get in touch with support to get info if an update is coming.

Just install Mint and tell the person that it is the new Windows 10.

On a serious note, it accepted the Win 8 license & has started the installation process..

Win 8.1 Installed - It prompted - if you would like to Upgrade to Windows 10 - On choosing Yes, it has started downloading Win10

So it did not even ask for 10GBs of updates that were released on Windows 8.1 since its release last year?

the latest power management works but the only problem is that its one feature of restricting the charge once battery percentage reaches 50 % was not working.
In my laptop one file was created when reset was performed and from there i got the version of power management i was using before.
Visited the lenovo support and luckily got that old version software.
The old version of power management also has this feature and its working .
Thats what i need
